Rolltop Computer

Check out this flexible OLED Rolltop computer that can be wrapped around a dock in a similar manner to that of a sushi roll, although we do wonder just what kind of battery is able to live up to such rigorous conditions during use. Rolltop is a portable computer development concept for designer, architect and everyone, who would like to have a gadget, which, from an aesthetic standpoint alone, certainly hits the mark.

Traveller Concept Laptop

The traveller concept laptop is design by Nikita Golovlev. The traveller laptop is a small compact laptop with a lot of features. The Traveller comes with software pre-loaded on the hard drive containing a general overview of a tourist map in a particular area, complete with inserts containing more detail. The Traveller can also be used in tandem with GPS navigation for pedestrians using an e-ink display and can be carried along easily while you travel and interfacing with digital photos that have been synched to a GPS log. Despite great advances in ePaper, such a screen on this device is still a long way off from becoming affordable to the masses.

Solar Notebook

This concept is design by Nikola Knezevic. Kenzevic's solar-powered laptop design is said to have a "complete power autonomy". Its independence is due to powerful batteries that are recharged by wide Solar Panel attached to the computer. Equipped with satellite link GPS, internet access, and satellite telephone which makes this device not only power independent but also universal tool for communication and exchange information literally from any spot on the planet.

'B-membrane' Laptop/Desktop Hybrid

“B-membrane” is design by Korean designer Won-Seok Lee. The designer has taken the need for a bulky monitors right out of the equation and opted for beaming your YouTubing onto any surface you can point the omni-directional projector. Some highlights of this Kubrick inspired mother ship computer include a membrane keyboard that appears when needed, integrated optical drive and when not used as a computer, the projector can beam ambient light effects on any surface you desire.
