Microsoft Kin Mobile Phone looks cute aren't there? These are social networking phones which are based on Windows Phone 7. Kin One and Kin Two are known as the Turtle and Pure which run on their own Microsoft operation system. Kin One has a curved square slider with QVGA display, 4GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Meanwhile, Kin Two has HVGA display and a more traditional landscape QWERTY slide with 8GB of internal storage and 8 megapixel camera. Both phones have WiFi and Bluetooth, 3G cellular radios, support over-the-air firmware updates and have full support for the Zune music and video experience but not Zune gaming and data tethering.
The desktop web experience in Kin is based on Silverlight for viewing and sorting just about all of the major stuff that you can see on your phone such as contacts, social network status updates, images, and so on. As we can see, this Kin is different. It has crazy UI which is based on blocky, simple text, monochromatic elements, and zoomed-in stylized pictures. The two big unique features in Kin are called 'Spot' and 'Loop'. Spot is an ever-present green dot at the bottom of the screen where you can drag content such as maps, images, status updates, videos and share it with contacts. Loop is the Kin's home screen, aggregating social content from your friends (etc. Twitter, Facebook) based on order of priority by how you sort your contents to avoid you to see many updates from people that you're not so close to. The concept in Kin is smart. However, there are still missing features in it such as no calendar, slow and so on. There are still not good enough compare to smartphones.
